Nuppu’s stretch cotton satin is a structured yet soft warp sateen. It has a beautiful matte sheen, but it is less shiny than our thick cotton satin. This fabric is perfect for trousers, party dresses, or even a light jacket – or perhaps a skirt or men’s shorts.
The slight stretch makes garments more comfortable to wear and helps in creating a well-fitting piece. Use patterns designed for woven fabrics with this material – not jersey patterns.
We recommend pre-washing the fabric at 40°C. As always when sewing satin, make sure your sewing machine needles are new and sharp!
